Rabbi Shimon Russell is a psychotherapist in private practice in Jerusalem, and is a world authority on the challenges of “At-Risk” teens and young adults. He holds an MSW from Rutgers Graduate School of Social Work and completed the Clinical externship program at the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy in New York. His expertise is in the areas of marriage, parenting, education, adolescents, and treatment of unresolved early childhood trauma.

In addition to his clinical practice in Jerusalem, he serves as the co-founder and chief clinical supervisor of Fresh Start in Southfield, Michigan, which services and supports individuals and families impacted by mental health struggles, and as director of training and development at Kesher Nafshi, an organization providing support and guidance for parents with children who are struggling in various ways (many of the lectures and trainings presented here were recorded at events arranged by Kesher Nafshi).
